Chiese contributi ai Comuni e ai cittadini "perchè - aveva detto - bisogna ricordare degnamente il cemento dell'identità e dell'unità nazionale".
Durante una manifestazione per il cinquantesimo della Resistenza, lo stesso Boldrini sintetizzò così il suo messaggio: " Noi abbiamo combattuto per quelli che c'erano, per quelli che non c'erano e anche per chi era contro... ".
Questa - ricordano in tanti - è stata sempre la sua profonda, autentica e leale convinzione.
